Is buying a refurbished iPad from Apple safe?

Yes. Apple Certified Refurbished: every device is fully tested, out-of-spec components are replaced with genuine Apple parts, full warranty applies.

How big is the discount on a refurbished iPad?

Usually 8–15% cheaper than new, sometimes more on previous-generation iPad Pro and iPad Air models.

Is the refurbished iPad warranty identical to new?

Yes: 1-year Apple limited warranty, AppleCare+ eligible, identical rights to a new iPad.

Is the screen of a refurbished iPad new?

If the original display had a defect, Apple replaced it with a new genuine display. Otherwise the original screen has been tested and certified to spec.

How long does a refurbished iPad stay in stock?

M-series iPad Pro typically sells in hours to days, iPad Air and iPad mini can stay listed longer depending on the configuration.

Why are so few refurbished iPads available?

Apple only refurbishes and re-sells iPads that were actually returned and reconditioned — the volume is small compared to new units sold.
